The foundation stone of Tapiola garden city was laid in 5 September 1953. To celebrate Tapiola's 50th anniversary, a multimedia application Tapiola 50 has been produced to present the architectural points of interest and public artworks in Tapiola, as well as historical maps of Tapiola and stories about it. The multimedia application is a unique experience, providing a completely new angle on Tapiola.
During the jubilee year, the application can be viewed as part of Tapiola - in search of a better life exhibition at Espoo City Museum.
